OUR STORY

Sam and Clare met on accident and totally on purpose.

Sam was living in a suburb of Boston and Clare was living in Providence. Their paths must’ve crossed briefly at a craft fair in Boston that they were both definitely at but this is not exactly when they met. Clare was often up in Boston to visit her friend Maddi and they must’ve been swiping on tinder while visiting, allowing Clare to match with Sam in her ten mile radius. They exchanged silly messages, with Sam’s opening line of ‘well well well, look who it is’ instantly starting a ridiculous conversation as if they already knew each other. This of course is how they prefer to communicate and spend their days together (in complete and udder silliness, laughing all day).

They went on their first date the next Friday. It rained and Sam held the umbrella the entire walk to Bayberry Beer Hall where they shared flights of beer and a pretzal. After their first date Sam wrote and recorded Clare a song which immediately ended her hot girl summer and started a summer of romance. They went on dates to Clare’s pottery studio, Sam’s roommates concert, they cooked dinner together, did legos, and most of all fell for each other. Sam unofficially moved in by November and officially in February.

They made new friends at wine club together who coined the term ‘Clam’ (Clare+Sam) so if you see any original wine club members ask them for the Clam origin story.

They have two kitties, Rocky and Leia, who were Sam's cats originally but have come to love and accept Clare as their second Mom.

They're both excited to commit to a lifetime of love and silliness surrounded by a small group of their closest people.
